FPO Revises 2010 GDP Growth Numbers

The Fiscal Police Office has revised their 2010 economic growth projectsion from 4 – 5% to 5 – 6%. Interestingly this was the same view as the World Bank. While tourism is expected to lag Thailand has substantially increased exports which is making up for it.

Thailand Expresses Disappointment Over Being Put on US Watch List

Recently the US put Thailand on their human trafficking watch list. Thani Thongphakdi, the foreign affairs deputy spokesman, said that the Thai government had expressed disappointment at being put on the list to the US embassy.
